Description: A comprehensive tool for managing and displaying interactive and promotional video banners within your website.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
Use video banners to maximize user engagement and convey important messages.
- Flash offer promotion: Display a pop-up video advertising a limited-time offer, ensuring the user sees the message before navigating elsewhere.
- System announcements or tutorials: Use banners to present a short explanatory video about a new site feature or an urgent notice.
- Targeted targeting: Assign specific videos to visitors who meet certain conditions (e.g., only registered customers, only users visiting a particular section of the site).
Main Features
Video Content Management
The system offers flexibility in choosing the video source:
- Uploaded videos: Directly upload video files (MP4) that will play in a loop and be muted automatically.
- External integration: Paste links from popular external platforms like YouTube and Vimeo. The system automatically manages playback start and volume control.
User Control and Interactivity
Banners are designed to be non-intrusive and interactive:
- Immediate closure: The user can close the banner at any time via a dedicated icon.
- Audio control: The video plays automatically in silent mode, but the user can activate audio with a simple click on the volume icon.
- Destination link: It is possible to associate a link with the banner, which redirects the user to the destination page when clicking on the video.
Rotation and Statistics
- Random rotation: If a group contains multiple eligible banners, the system randomly selects one for display.
- Anti-duplication: The system avoids showing the same banner to the same user in close sessions, unless specifically configured to show duplicates.
- Tracking: The number of views (impressions) is tracked for each banner.
How to configure
Configuration is divided into two main areas accessible from the Video Advertising menu:
1. Advertising Groups
Groups define where and when banners should appear on the site.
| Group Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Group Name | Identifier for internal organization. |
| Banner Position | Defines the display mode (e.g., pop-up, fixed at bottom, etc.). |
| Pages to include/exclude | List of specific URLs where the banner should (or should not) be shown. |
| Apply to child pages | If enabled, inclusion/exclusion rules also apply to all subpages of the specified URLs. |
| Targeting Conditions | Allows using advanced marketing rules to show the banner only if the user meets specific criteria (e.g., user type, registration date, etc.). |
2. Advertising Banners
Banners define the content and action.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Video Content | Upload the video file or insert the external link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). |
| Associated Group(s) | Assign the banner to one or more previously defined groups. |
| Destination Link | The URL to which the user is redirected when clicking the banner. |
| Validity Period | Set a start and end date for the automatic display of the banner. |
| Status | Activate or deactivate the banner. |
Automatic Integrations
Visual Builder
The module is integrated into the Visual Builder under the "Advertising" category.
When editing a page or template (including emails), you can insert a "Video banner" block. This allows you to:
1. Select a specific Advertising Group to display in that position.
2. Choose whether to allow duplicate banner display in that context (useful if you want to force display even if the banner has been seen before).
Automatic Display
Once an Advertising Group is configured with the related conditions (pages, targeting), the system automatically checks on each page load if there are eligible banners to show, ensuring campaigns run without manual intervention.
