Display the streaming keys (Ingestion Info) to start the broadcast

Why do it:

You need to view the streaming keys (also known as Ingestion Info) to properly configure your broadcasting software (such as OBS Studio or Streamlabs) and start live streaming on your scheduled YouTube event.

Procedure to View Streaming Keys

Follow these steps to retrieve the necessary information for broadcasting:

1. Access the platform section dedicated to managing Live events or Broadcasts.

2. Locate the scheduled event for which you want to start the broadcast.

3. Click on the event or the option to View Details of the selected event.

4. The system will process the request:

  • If the event is not yet associated with a streaming key, the system will automatically generate one and link it to the event.
  • If the key already exists, the system will retrieve it.

5. Within the event details, look for the section named Streaming Keys or Ingestion Info.

6. In this section, you will find two essential pieces of information to copy into your broadcasting software (OBS, etc.):

  • Ingestion Server URL (or RTMP URL): The address where you send the video stream.
  • Stream Name/Key: The unique key that identifies your specific event.

Once you have copied this information into your broadcasting software, you can start the video stream that will appear on your YouTube event.
