Add custom phone numbers as recipients in automation

This guide explains how to configure a WhatsApp automation step so that the message is sent to specific phone numbers, instead of the default recipient (the customer who triggered the automation).

Note: Phone numbers must include the international prefix (e.g., 39 for Italy) but it is not necessary to add the + symbol.

Procedure for Setting Custom Recipients

1. Access your automation and open the "Send WhatsApp Message" step you want to modify (or create a new one).

2. In the WhatsApp Settings section, locate the field labeled Recipient.

3. Click on the dropdown menu of the Recipient field (which by default is set to Default).

4. Select the Custom option.

5. Once Custom is selected, a new field immediately appears below called Custom Recipient.

6. In the Custom Recipient field, enter the phone numbers that should receive the message. If you need to add multiple numbers, separate them with a comma (,).

Example: 393331234567, 39029876543

7. Complete the message configuration (Message Title, Message, Attachments) and save the automation step.

The system will now send the message to all numbers specified in the Custom Recipient field every time this automation step is executed.
