Write the text message for the automation

This guide shows you how to configure the content and sending settings for a WhatsApp message within an automation.

Writing the Text Message for the Automation

Make sure you are in the WhatsApp Settings section of the automation action.

1. Set the Title and Content

1. In the Message Title field, enter a name that helps you identify this specific action (for example, "Post-Purchase Welcome Message").

2. In the Message field, write the text that will be sent to your recipient.

  • Note: The message has a maximum limit of 1530 characters.

3. To customize the message, use the Custom Tokens (Shortcodes) listed in the table above. These allow you to automatically insert specific customer information (such as name or order details) directly into the text.

2. Configure the Recipient and Token

1. Under the Recipient label, choose who will receive the message:

  • Select the Default option to send the message to the phone number associated with the contact who triggered the automation.
  • Select the Custom option if you want to specify a different recipient.

2. If you selected "Custom," the Custom Recipient field will appear. Enter here the specific phone number(s) that should receive the message.

3. (Optional) Custom Token: If you need to use a Whatsender API token different from your account's default, enter it in the Custom Token field.

3. Add Attachments

1. Under the Attachments label, you can upload media files (images, PDFs) to send along with the text message.

  • Use the upload function to select desired files.
  • Warning: Mass sending messages with heavy attachments may slow down the automation.

After completing all fields, make sure to save the automation action.
