Whatsender - WhatsApp API

Notifications, Personalization, Templates, Attachments, Automations, Tracking

Description: This module allows you to integrate your Framework360 system with WhatsApp, enabling the sending of automatic or manual transactional and marketing messages to your customers.

What is it for? (Practical examples)

Use it to improve communication and engagement with your contacts:

  • Automatic Notifications: Automatically send a WhatsApp message to the customer when they complete a purchase or subscribe to a newsletter (via Marketing Automations).
  • Direct Communication: Quickly contact a specific customer directly from their profile for urgent information or follow-up.
  • Transactional Messages: Use predefined templates to send order confirmations, appointment reminders, or shipping alerts via WhatsApp.

Main Features

1. Creation and management of templates

You can create reusable message templates that can be triggered automatically or used for bulk sending.

  • Customization: All templates support the use of shortcodes (variables) to automatically insert specific customer data (such as first name, last name, order details, etc.).
  • Multilingual Content: Message contents can be managed in multiple languages.
  • Attachments: It is possible to attach images (JPEG, PNG) or documents (PDF) to messages.
  • Fixed Recipients: If needed, you can specify fixed recipients (comma-separated) who will always receive the message regardless of which customer triggered the action.

2. Direct sending from the customer profile

From a contact’s card (if a mobile number is present), there is a button available to immediately send a WhatsApp message.

  • Sender Selection: If multiple sending devices are configured, you can choose which number to use as the sender.
  • Conversation Management: Messages sent and received via Whatsender are recorded in the conversation system, allowing your staff to reply directly.

3. Support for outgoing messaging

The module integrates into the internal messaging system, allowing your staff to send replies via WhatsApp within an existing conversation.

How to configure

To activate the Whatsender functionality, you need to link your external account using a Token.

1. Access Settings > Plugins and search for "Whatsender".

2. Click on Authenticate or Configure.

3. You will be asked to enter the Token provided by the Whatsender service.

4. Enter the Token and confirm. The system will verify that the connection is active.

Automatic integrations

The Whatsender module deeply integrates into the Framework360 system to automate communication.

1. Actions in Marketing Automations

In the Marketing > Automations section, a new action is available: Send WhatsApp message (Whatsender).

  • Action configuration: When creating the action, you can define the internal title, message content (using campaign-specific shortcodes), attachments and, if necessary, a custom Token (overriding the global one) or custom recipients for that single automation.
  • Important Notice: The system warns that mass sending of WhatsApp messages may result in blocks by the external platform (WhatsApp).

2. Transactional Templates (Mail Overwriter)

In communication template management (usually under Settings > Templates), an option "Whatsender" is added.

  • This allows replacing or complementing traditional emails with WhatsApp messages for notifications triggered by system events (e.g., registration, password recovery, etc.).

3. Token Override

Both in transactional templates and individual automation actions, it is possible to specify a custom Token. This is useful if you want to use a different Whatsender account than the main one configured in the system for specific types of messages.
