This guide explains how to update the content and settings of a previously configured WhatsApp message within an automation flow.
Procedure
1. Access your automation flow and click on the WhatsApp action you want to edit. The editing screen, titled Edit WhatsApp, will open.
2. In the WhatsApp Settings section, you can view and modify the action details.
1. Edit the Title and Message
1. In the field labeled Message Title, change the identifying name of the action (for example, "Appointment Reminder").
2. In the larger field labeled Message, modify the text that will be sent to the recipient.
- Note: You can insert shortcodes (variables such as first name, last name, etc.) using the shortcode table provided above the editing area.
2. Edit the Recipient
1. In the dropdown menu labeled Recipient, select who will receive the message:
- Select Default to send the message to the phone number associated with the contact in the system.
- Select Custom if you want to specify a fixed phone number or a specific variable.
2. If you selected Custom, the Custom Recipient field will appear. Enter here the desired phone number or contact variable.
3. Manage Attachments
1. In the Attachments section, you can add or remove multimedia files (images, videos, PDFs) to send along with the message.
- Note: WhatsApp supports up to 3 attachments per message.
4. Save Changes
1. Once all changes are complete, click on the save button (usually Save or Update) to apply the changes to the automation action.
