Modify an existing WhatsApp send action (Marketing Automation)

This guide explains how to update and customize the details of a WhatsApp message that is automatically sent within a Marketing Automation flow.

Procedure

1. After selecting the existing WhatsApp action in your automation flow, the Edit WhatsApp screen will open.

2. Access the WhatsApp Settings section.

3. In the Message Title field, modify the identifying name of this specific action.

4. To define who will receive the message, use the Recipient dropdown menu:

  • Select Default to send the message to the contact going through the automation flow.
  • Select Custom if you want to send the message to a specific number (or multiple numbers).

5. If you chose "Custom" in the previous step, enter the desired phone number in the Custom Recipient field.

6. In the Custom Token field, you can enter a specific API token for this single action (leave blank to use the default token configured for the plugin).

7. In the Attachments section, you can upload or remove media files (images, videos, or PDFs) to be sent along with the message (a maximum of 3 attachments is allowed).

8. In the Message text field, edit the content of the WhatsApp message.

  • Tip: You can personalize the message by inserting shortcodes (such as [nome], [email], etc.) listed in the table above.

9. Once you have completed your changes, make sure to save the action (usually via a save button on the main automation screen).
