Enable or disable automatic sending of WhatsApp messages based on events (Webhooks)

Why do this: To automatically send WhatsApp messages to customers when a specific event occurs in the system (such as a new registration, a completed purchase, etc.).


Procedure

1. Access the settings section of the Wati plugin.

2. Click on the Webhooks tab.

3. Locate the group of events you are interested in (for example, "Sales", "Customers", etc.). If the group is collapsed, click the icon to expand it.

4. Find the specific event for which you want to enable sending (for example, "New order completed").

Enable automatic sending

1. Check the checkbox next to the event name.

2. Once checked, the event section will expand, allowing you to configure the message:

a. Under the label Select template, choose the pre-approved WhatsApp template you want to send when this event occurs.

b. Under the label Assign shortcode, you need to associate available data in the system with placeholders (variables) present in the selected template.

  • For each shortcode (e.g., nome_cliente), select from the dropdown menu the corresponding value (Specific, Standard, or Custom).
  • If you choose Static value (within the Custom group), a text field will appear where you can type fixed text to send.

3. Make sure to click on the page's general Save button to apply the changes.

Disable automatic sending

1. To disable automatic WhatsApp sending for a specific event, uncheck the checkbox next to the event name.

2. Click on the page's general Save button.
