This procedure allows you to configure the automatic sending of a WhatsApp message (via template) whenever a specific event occurs within the system (for example, a new order or user registration).
Procedure
1. Access the settings section dedicated to Webhooks (System Events).
2. Locate the category of events you are interested in (e.g., "Orders," "Users," etc.) and click on the down arrow icon to expand the section.
3. Within the category, find the specific event to which you want to associate the WhatsApp message (e.g., "Order completed").
4. Enable the WhatsApp integration for that event by checking the checkbox (<input type="checkbox" name="enable" />) located to the left of the event title. Enabling it will automatically expand the configuration options.
5. In the expanded panel, locate the label Select template.
6. Use the dropdown menu under Select template to choose the pre-approved WhatsApp template you want to send.
7. Move to the Shortcode Assignment section (located on the right). This section appears only after selecting a template and is used to map event data onto the variable fields of the template.
8. For each variable field required by the template, identified by the label SHORTCODE Value, use the dropdown menu to select the source of the data:
- Specific: Variables related to the current event (e.g., order details).
- Standard: Common variables (e.g., customer name, phone).
- Custom: Contains the option Static value.
9. If you choose Static value, an additional text field will appear. Enter the fixed text you want to use for that parameter (for example, "Thank you for your purchase!").
10. Repeat step 8 for all shortcodes required by the template.
11. Save your settings to apply the association. The WhatsApp template will now be sent automatically every time the selected system event is triggered.
