This guide explains how to configure the "Reference User" plugin to hide the reference selection field from users who belong to specific levels.
Why do it
If you want to prevent users of a certain level from viewing or setting a Reference User, you need to hide the selection field.
Procedure
1. Log in to the system administration panel and navigate to the Reference User plugin settings.
2. Locate the section titled Preferences.
3. Within this section, look for the multi-select field labeled Hidden for levels.
4. Click on the field and select all user levels for which the "Reference User" field should be hidden.
5. After selecting the desired levels, click the save button (for example Save or Save changes) to apply the new settings.
Once saved, users belonging to the selected levels will no longer see the "Reference User" field in their profile and will instead see the message: Non è possibile impostare un utente di riferimento per il livello selezionato.
