This guide explains how to define the content and basic settings for a WhatsApp message to be sent automatically within a Marketing Automation campaign.
1. Basic Settings and Message Content
First, you need to name the action and write the content of the message that will be sent.
1. In the Title field, enter a descriptive name for this specific WhatsApp action (for example: "Abandoned Cart Notification").
2. Pay attention to the warning box:
> Warning! Mass sending of messages may result in blocks by WhatsApp that are not dependent on [Platform Name]. Please refer to the FAQ for more information.
3. In the Message field, write the text you want to send to the recipient.
- Note: The recommended maximum length for the message is 1530 characters.
4. To personalize the message, use the Custom Tokens (Shortcodes) listed in the table above the settings section.
- Copy and paste tokens (e.g.,
customer_name) directly into the Message field. The system will automatically replace them with recipient data.
2. Recipient and Attachments Configuration
You can define who will receive the message and attach multimedia files.
1. In the Recipient field, choose one of the following options:
- Default: The message will be sent to the phone number associated with the contact (recommended option for standard automations).
- Custom: Select this option if you need to specify one or more fixed phone numbers.
2. If you chose "Custom," the Custom Recipient field will appear. Enter one or more phone numbers separated by commas here.
3. In the Custom Token field, you can enter a specific token for sending, if required by your Uozap configuration. If you do not have a specific token, leave this field empty to use the default token.
4. In the Attachments field, you can upload or select files to include in the message.
- Click on the text area to open the media selector.
- Allowed attachments include images (JPEG, PNG) and documents (PDF). You can attach up to 3 files.
3. Saving
Once configuration is complete:
1. Click on the Save button (or equivalent campaign save button) to apply changes to the WhatsApp action.
