Why do it: This procedure allows you to update the content, recipient, or technical settings of a WhatsApp message that is sent automatically within a campaign or automation flow.
Procedure to Edit WhatsApp Settings
Once you have opened the Edit WhatsApp (or Create WhatsApp) screen:
1. Title: In the field under the label Title, enter a descriptive name for this sending action.
2. Recipient: Choose who will receive the message:
- Select Default to send the message to the contact associated with the action (for example, the customer who triggered the automation).
- Select Custom if you want to manually specify one or more phone numbers.
3. Custom Recipient (Visible only if you chose "Custom" in step 2):
- Enter the desired phone numbers in the Custom Recipient field. If you need to enter multiple recipients, separate them with commas.
- Note: The field has the placeholder "Add mobile number".
4. Custom Token: If you do not want to use the default token configured for your system, you can enter a specific Custom Token for this sending. If left blank, the value "Use default token" will be used.
5. Attachments: Under the label Attachments, you can upload or select files (JPEG images, PNG, or PDF) to attach to your WhatsApp message. You can attach up to 3 files.
6. Message: In the text field under the label Message:
- Write your message content.
- You can use shortcodes (dynamic variables) listed in the table to personalize the message with specific recipient data (such as first name, last name, etc.).
- The message must not exceed 1530 characters.
7. Saving: After completing your changes, make sure to save the action (the save button is managed by the platform and is not visible on this screen).
