This guide explains how to set a specific name for products or categories, which will be used by external payment platforms (such as PayPal or Stripe) instead of the standard product name.
1. Setting the Name for a Single Product/Item
This procedure overrides the standard product/item name. If this field is left empty, the name set at the category level (if present) will be used.
Procedure:
1. Access the management section of the module containing the item you want to modify (e.g., E-commerce Products, Subscription Plans, Restaurant Menu Items, Accommodations).
2. Click Edit on the desired item.
3. Within the edit screen, click on the Tax Information tab.
4. In the field labeled Product Name for Payment Platforms, enter the exact name you want to appear on the payment platform.
5. Click Save Changes (or the equivalent save button) to apply the modification.
2. Setting the Name for a Category (Fallback)
The name set at the category level is used only if the specific single product field (as described in point 1) has been left empty.
Procedure:
1. Access the category management section (e.g., E-commerce Categories).
2. Click Edit on the desired category.
3. Within the edit screen, click on the Tax Information tab.
4. In the field labeled Product Names for Payment Platforms, enter the name that should be used for all products belonging to this category (unless they have a specific name set).
5. Click Save Changes (or the equivalent save button) to apply the modification.
