Add a new size calculator configuration (Admin)

This guide shows you how to define the rules for a new Size Calculator, associating it with specific product categories and size attributes.

Adding a New Size Calculator Configuration (Admin)

Why do it

Creating a configuration allows the system to automatically suggest the correct size to customers based on their body measurements (weight, chest, waist).

Procedure

1. Access the administration section of the "Size Calculator" plugin.

2. Locate the section that manages the list of calculations and click the button to add a new configuration (usually labeled Add or New calculation).

General Configuration

Within the new configuration, fill in the following fields:

1. Category: Select the product category to which this configuration applies. Select All categories if it should be applied everywhere.

2. Size attribute: Select the product attribute that defines sizes (e.g., "Size", "Measure").

3. 'Size not found' message: Enter the message that will be displayed to the customer if the system cannot find a size compatible with the provided measurements.

> Important: After selecting the Size attribute, you must save the configuration. The system will automatically load the measurement fields for each size defined in that attribute. If you see the warning "Please save the attribute first," proceed to save.

Defining Ranges for Sizes

Once you have saved the Size attribute, the system will show a separate section for each available size (e.g., S, M, L). For each size, define the measurement ranges that identify it:

For each Size (e.g., Size S):

1. Weight (Kg):

  • Enter the Minimum weight.
  • Enter the Maximum weight.

2. Chest (Cm):

  • Enter the Minimum chest measurement.
  • Enter the Maximum chest measurement.

3. Waist (Cm):

  • Enter the Minimum waist measurement.
  • Enter the Maximum waist measurement.

4. Attached message: Enter an optional message that will be shown to the customer when this specific size is suggested.

> Note: It is not necessary to fill in all measurement fields (Weight, Chest, Waist) for all sizes, but at least one range must be defined to allow the calculator to work.

Saving

After defining all ranges for sizes, click on the general save button of the configuration to activate your changes.
