Enable customer synchronization

This guide will walk you through activating the synchronization of customer data between your Shopify e-commerce platform and your Framework360 account.

Note: To proceed, the Shopify plugin must already be installed and configured with your store via the authorization procedure (OAuth).

Guide: Enable Customer Synchronization

Follow these steps to activate and configure customer synchronization.

1. Access Synchronization Settings

1. Log in to the platform control panel.

2. Go to the Plugin section and select the Shopify plugin.

3. Within the plugin settings, look for and click on the tab or section dedicated to Synchronization (or Webhooks).

2. Enable Customer Synchronization

On the synchronization settings page, you will find several sections dedicated to orders, products, and customers.

1. Locate the section titled: Sync Customers.

2. Turn on the main toggle switch next to this section to enable customer synchronization.

3. Configure Synchronization Direction

After enabling the main synchronization, you need to decide in which direction data should be transferred.

A. Synchronization from Shopify to Framework360 (Inbound)

This option ensures that new customers created or updated on Shopify are replicated in Framework360.

1. In the Sync Customers section, locate the option: Shopify => Framework360.

2. Activate the toggle switch next to this option.

B. Synchronization from Framework360 to Shopify (Outbound)

This option ensures that customers created or modified in Framework360 are replicated on Shopify.

1. In the Sync Customers section, locate the option: Framework360 => Shopify.

2. Activate the toggle switch next to this option.

4. Save Changes

1. After enabling your desired synchronization directions, make sure to click the Save (or Update Settings) button on the page to apply the changes.

Once saved, the platform will automatically manage creating and updating customers based on your synchronization choices.

Manual Synchronization (Optional):

If you want to immediately force synchronization of a single existing customer from Framework360 to Shopify, you can do so directly from the customer list:

1. Go to the customer list (for example, Customer Management).

2. In the Shopify column next to the desired customer, click on the action button (this might be an icon with three dots or a dropdown menu).

3. Select Send To, then click on Shopify.

A sending process will start and you will receive a confirmation message when it finishes.
