This guide explains how to define which service categories should be displayed within a "Services - Categories" block (available in the Visual Builder).
Procedure
1. In the Visual Builder, click on the Services - Categories block to open the settings.
2. In the settings window, locate the Categories to show section.
3. Use the dropdown menu to select the desired display mode:
- Parent categories: Only main categories (those without a parent) are shown.
- Child categories: Only categories that are children of other categories are shown. Select this option to display the Select parent categories field and choose the parent categories from which to pull the children.
- Manual selection: Only the categories you choose are shown. Select this option to display the Select categories field and pick the specific categories to include in the list.
- All: All existing service categories are shown.
4. In the Empty categories section, choose whether to:
- Show: Keep categories visible even if they contain no services.
- Hide: Automatically hide categories that contain no services.
5. (Optional) If you want to limit or offset the list, open the Sort accordion and set values in the fields:
- Limit: The maximum number of categories to display.
- Offset: The number of categories to skip from the start of the list.
6. Click Save (or Apply) to save the changes to the block.
