This guide describes how to configure which categories of services should be displayed in a specific block and how to manage categories that do not contain services.
This configuration is done within the settings panel of the "Servizi - Categorie" (or "Categorie") block in the Visual Builder.
Configuring the Display of Service Categories
1. Choose Categories to Show
This setting defines which categories the block should include in the list.
1. Open the Categorie block settings in the Visual Builder.
2. In the main section, locate the label Categorie da mostrare.
3. Click on the dropdown menu and select one of the following options:
- Categorie genitori: Only top-level categories (those without parent categories) will be shown.
- Tutte: All created service categories will be shown.
- Seleziona manualmente: Allows you to choose specific categories. Selecting this option will reveal a new field called Seleziona categorie where you can pick the desired entries.
- Categorie figlie: Only categories that are children of specific parent categories will be shown. Selecting this option will reveal a new field called Seleziona categorie genitore where you can specify the parent categories from which to extract children.
2. Hide Empty Categories
This setting allows you to exclude from display those categories that currently do not contain services.
1. Still in the block settings section, locate the label Categorie vuote.
2. Click on the dropdown menu and choose your preferred option:
- Mostra: Categories without services will also be displayed.
- Nascondi: Categories without services will not be displayed.
3. Save Changes
1. Once configurations are complete, click on the save button (usually labeled Salva or Applica) in the block settings panel to apply the changes.
