This guide explains how to add, edit, and delete projects and their categories within the Portfolio section.
1. Managing Projects (Add, Edit, Delete)
Projects are the main elements of your portfolio.
1.1. Accessing the Project List
1. In the main navigation menu, click on Portfolio.
2. Click on Projects.
The list of all existing projects will be displayed.
1.2. Adding or Editing a Project
1. From the Projects list:
- To add a new project, click the Add New button (or equivalent).
- To edit an existing project, click the Edit icon (usually a pencil) next to the desired project.
2. Fill in the required fields:
- portfolio title: Enter the name of the project. (Corresponds to the
nomefield). - portfolio description: Enter a brief description. (Corresponds to the
descrfield). - portfolio details: Enter full details of the project. (Corresponds to the
long_descrfield). - Images/Galleries: Upload the main images of the project (corresponding to
{portfolio-image}and{portfolio-images}). You may also need to upload specific images for secondary galleries (Gallery 1/Gallery 2, corresponding to{portfolio-web-image}and{portfolio-mob-image}). - Website URL: If applicable, enter the link to the client/project website. (Corresponds to the
urlfield). - Category: Select the category to which the project belongs.
- Status: Make sure that the project is set as active (
is_activefield) if it should be visible on the site. - Criterion (Highlighted): Select this option to mark the project as "highlighted" (
is_highlightedfield).
3. When finished, click on the Save or Save Changes button.
1.3. Deleting a Project
1. From the Projects list, locate the project you want to delete.
2. Click on the Delete icon (usually a trash bin) next to the project.
3. Confirm deletion when prompted.
2. Managing Project Categories
Categories help organize projects into thematic groups.
2.1. Accessing Category Management
1. In the main navigation menu, click on Portfolio.
2. Click on Project Categories.
The category management interface will be displayed.
2.2. Adding or Editing a Category
The categories interface uses a "Category Builder" that allows managing a tree structure.
1. From the Project Categories interface:
- To add a new category, click on the Add Category button (or equivalent).
- To edit an existing category, select it from the list and click on the Edit icon (usually a pencil).
2. Fill in category details:
- portfolio category name: Enter the name that will appear on the site. (Corresponds to
nomefield). - portfolio category description: Enter a brief description. (Corresponds to
descrfield). - portfolio category details: Enter full details of the category. (Corresponds to
long_descrfield). - Images: Upload the main image of the category (
{portfolio-category-image}), banner ({portfolio-category-banner}), and any extra gallery ({portfolio-category-gallery}). - Parent Category: If creating a subcategory, select its parent category.
3. When finished, click on the Save button.
2.3. Deleting a Category
1. From the Project Categories interface, select the category you want to delete.
2. Click on the Delete icon (usually a trash bin or an "X").
3. Confirm deletion.
- Warning: Deleting a category may require reassigning projects contained within it.
