Customize the messages displayed on the front-end (product page and checkout)

This guide explains how to modify the informational texts related to points displayed on the product page and checkout page of your site.

Procedure

1. Access the Customer Points plugin settings.

2. Go to the General tab.

3. Scroll down to the Messages section (located in the right column).

Product Page Messages

In this section, you can define the messages that appear on individual product pages.

1. In the Product Page (Simple Product) field, enter the text that will be shown for simple products.

  • Available shortcode: {points} (displays the number of points earned by purchasing the product).

2. In the Product Page (Variable Product) field, enter the text for products with variations (e.g., size, color).

  • Available shortcode: {points} (displays the maximum number of points that can be earned).

Checkout Page Messages

In this section, you can customize messages related to earning and using points in the cart.

1. In the Checkout Page (Points Earning) field, enter the message informing users about the points they will earn by completing the order.

  • Available shortcode: {points} (displays total points earned with the order).

2. In the Checkout Page (Discount Available) field, enter the message informing users about the option to use points to get a discount.

  • Available shortcodes: {points} (displays points that can be spent) and {points-value} (displays discount value in currency).

"Apply Discount" Button

You can customize the appearance and text of the button that allows customers to apply discounts using their accumulated points.

1. In the 'Apply Discount' Button Text field, enter the wording that will appear on the button (e.g., "Use my points").

2. In the dropdown menu 'Apply Discount' Button Type, choose the button style (e.g., primary, success, danger, etc.).

Once you have completed your changes, make sure to save the plugin's general settings.
