Enter internal notes for a new customer points transaction

Internal Notes are useful for recording the specific reason for a points credit or debit, for administrative tracking purposes. These notes are not visible to the customer.

Procedure

1. Access the customer's Points tab.

2. Click the New transaction button. The Add transaction window will open.

3. In the Type field, select the desired transaction type:

  • Points credit (to add points).
  • Points debit (to remove points).

4. In the Value field, enter the number of points to credit or debit.

5. In the Internal Notes field, type the descriptive text of the transaction (for example, "Bonus for resolved complaint" or "Points used for discount").

6. Check the New Balance shown at the bottom of the window.

7. Click the Add button to save the transaction.
