How to add a pre-saved item to a client's library via Automation

This guide explains how to configure an automation step to automatically add a previously saved item (track, album, artist) to a customer's music library.

Why do it

To add an item to favorites in the customer's music platform (such as Spotify or Apple Music), provided that the customer has linked their account.

Procedure

1. Access the Marketing section and edit or create a new Automation.

2. Within the workflow, click the button to add a new step or action.

3. Select the action titled Add item to favorites.

4. In the action configuration screen, locate the field:

  • Select Pre-Save

5. Click on the field and use the search utility to select the pre-save module containing the item you want to add to the customer's library.

6. Click Save (or the equivalent save button for the action).

Once the automation runs for a customer, the system will attempt to add the pre-saved item to the customer's library using the connected music platform.
