How to define a marketing trigger based on adding an item to favorites

This trigger starts a marketing automation whenever a customer logged into their music account (such as Spotify or Apple Music) adds a specific track, album, or artist to their favorites.

Procedure

1. Access the creation or editing section of your Marketing Automation Campaign.

2. In the trigger selection panel (often called "When this happens..."), select the Music Agency group.

3. Choose the Item added to favorites trigger.

4. The trigger configuration screen will open. Fill in the following fields:

  • Item type: Select the type of music content that the customer must add to favorites. Available options are:
  • Track
  • Artist
  • Album
  • Item title: Enter the exact title or part of the title of the item that must be added to favorites to trigger the automation. Use the text field showing the placeholder Enter title or part of title....

5. Click Save (or Confirm) to save the trigger configuration.
