Main features
The module extends the standard coupon functionality, offering granular control over the discount percentage applied.
- Discounts per category: It is possible to assign a specific discount percentage for each individual e-commerce product category.
- Discount priority: If a product belongs to a category for which a specific discount has been defined, that discount overrides the general coupon value. If the product does not fall into any category with a customized discount, the standard coupon value is applied.
- Dedicated interface: Adds a dedicated configuration section within the creation of each coupon.
How to configure
The multicategory discount configuration takes place directly within the screen for creating or editing an existing coupon.
Configuration steps:
1. Coupon Type: During coupon creation, make sure to select the type "Percentage on product".
- Note: If a different coupon type is selected (e.g., fixed discount), multicategory options will not be available.
2. Access the Tab: Access the new section called "Multicategory Discount" (identified by a percentage icon).
3. Set Percentages:
- The complete list of e-commerce categories will be displayed.
- Next to each category, enter the discount percentage you wish to apply.
- Example: Entering
15next to "Shoes" means all products in that category will receive 15% off when the coupon is used.
4. Save: Save the coupon to make changes effective.
Automatic integrations
The module operates transparently, integrating directly into the cart calculation flow and coupon application.
- Coupon management system: The defined percentages are read by the system as soon as the customer enters the coupon code in the cart.
- Automatic calculation: The system automatically calculates the applicable discount value for each individual product in the cart, taking into account its category and the specific percentage set.
