set the custom duration of a membership (days, weeks, months, years)

This guide shows you how to define a specific duration (in days, weeks, months, or years) when assigning a membership to a user through a marketing or automation action.

Make sure you are inside the edit screen of the marketing action that manages the membership assignment.

Procedure to Set the Custom Duration

1. Select the Operation

In the Membership section, find the Operation field and ensure that the option:

  • Add

is selected.

2. Select the Membership

In the Select Membership field, choose the specific plan you want to assign to the user.

3. Choose the Duration Type

In the Membership Duration field, select the option:

  • Custom

4. Define the Numerical Value

A new row of fields will appear. In the field labeled Expires after, enter the number representing the desired duration (for example, enter 7 if you want the membership to last 7 days/weeks/months/years).

5. Define the Time Unit

In the dropdown menu immediately next to the Expires after field, select the appropriate time unit:

  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Years

Once these steps are completed, the membership assigned through this action will expire exactly after the specified period.
