This guide explains how to configure an action within an automation flow to automatically assign a Membership to a user.

Configuring the "Membership" Action

When you add the Membership action to your automation flow, follow these steps to define which plan to assign and how long it will be valid.

In the Membership section, the first field defines the action that will be performed on the user.

1. In the Operation field, select the option:

Add: To assign the Membership to the user. (Select this option).
Note: If you select "Remove," the following steps regarding duration will not be necessary.

1. In the Select Membership field, choose the specific plan you want to assign to the user when this action is executed.

After selecting the "Add" operation, you need to define the duration of the assigned Membership plan.

In the Membership Duration field, select one of the following options:

Select Default.
How it works: The Membership duration will be as configured in the selected plan’s settings (for example, if the plan is set for 1 month, it will expire after 1 month). No additional fields are required.

Select Unlimited.
How it works: The Membership will never expire. No additional fields are required.

This option allows you to define a specific duration based on days, weeks, months, or years.

1. Select Custom.

2. In the Expires after field, enter the number of units (e.g., 3).

3. In the dropdown menu next to it, select the unit of time:

Days
Weeks
Months
Years
(Example: Entering 3 and selecting Months means the Membership will expire 3 months after activation).

This option allows you to set a fixed expiration date and time regardless of when the user activates the automation.

1. Select Set.

2. In the Expiration Date field, enter or select the exact date and time when the Membership should expire.

Note: If a user activates the automation after this date, their Membership will be immediately expired.
