This guide shows you how to set up an automatic action to send a WhatsApp message to a specific group, usable within automations or autopost.
Procedure
1. Select the Create WhatsApp or Edit WhatsApp action within your automation or autopost campaign.
2. In the WhatsApp Settings section, configure the following fields:
1. Group Selection and Attachments
- Group: Click the dropdown menu and select the desired WhatsApp group. Groups are organized under the sender's phone number associated (indicated as optgroup).
- Note: If no groups are available, the message "No groups available" will appear.
- Attachments: Click the field to upload or select attachments to include in the message. You can upload images (JPEG, PNG) or PDF documents, with a maximum of 3 attachments.
2. Message
- Message: Enter your WhatsApp message content in the text area.
- Warning: The message has a maximum limit of 1530 characters.
- You can use shortcodes (dynamic variables) if available in the table above the text area to customize the content.
3. After configuring the Group, Attachments, and Message, click the save button (usually Save or Confirm) to apply the action to your automation or autopost.
> Warning! Bulk sending of messages may lead to blocks by WhatsApp. See the Manycontacts FAQ for more information.
