Create a new WhatsApp sending action (in standard automation)

This action allows you to send automatic WhatsApp messages to contacts who reach this step within your automation.


Procedure

Follow the steps below to configure the WhatsApp sending action:

1. Basic Settings

1. In the WhatsApp Settings section, enter an identifying name in the Message Title field.

2. In the Sender field, select the WhatsApp number from which you want to send the message. Select Default to use the sender configured as primary.

3. In the Recipient field, choose:

  • Default: The message will be sent to the mobile phone number associated with the contact running the automation.
  • Custom: Select this option to send the message to a specific number or a custom variable. The Custom Recipient field will appear.

2. Message Configuration

1. In the Message field, write the content of the WhatsApp message.

  • Note: The message is limited to a maximum of 1530 characters.

2. Use the Shortcode (variable) table displayed above to customize the message by inserting specific contact data (such as first name, last name, etc.).

3. In the Attachments field, you can upload files to include in the message.

  • Allowed file types are JPEG, PNG, and PDF.
  • You can upload up to 3 attachments.

3. Conclusion

After configuring all settings, click on the save button (usually Save or Save Changes) to insert the action into the automation.
