Choose the recipient type (Default or Custom) for automated sending

This setting defines who will receive the WhatsApp message when the automation action is executed.

Procedure

1. Access the WhatsApp automation action you want to modify or create.

2. Scroll down to the WhatsApp Settings section.

3. Locate the field labeled Recipient.

4. Click on the dropdown menu and choose the desired recipient type:

• Select Default to send the message to the contact executing the automation flow.
• Select Custom to specify a different recipient.

5. If you selected Custom, the Custom Recipient field will appear immediately.

6. In the Custom Recipient field, enter the phone number or variable (shortcode) that should receive the message.

Once you have completed your selection, make sure to save the action to apply the changes.
