Why do it:
This procedure allows you to show visitors an accurate countdown indicating when your website will be back online after maintenance.
Procedure
1. Activating Maintenance Mode
Before inserting the countdown, make sure that maintenance mode is active.
1. Go to the settings of the "Maintenance Page" plugin.
2. In the main section (or in the "General" tab if present), locate and check the box next to Set website 'Under Maintenance'.
3. Save the changes.
2. Editing the Maintenance Page
The maintenance page is a private page that can be edited through a visual editor.
1. Access the Private Pages or System Pages section.
2. Look for the page titled Manutenzione.
3. Open the visual editor to modify the content of this page.
3. Inserting the Countdown
1. Within the visual editor, look among the available blocks.
2. Find the block called Countdown.
3. Drag or insert the Countdown block at the desired point on the page.
4. Setting the Opening Date
1. Click on the newly inserted Countdown block to open its settings.
2. The block is described as Countdown apertura sito.
3. Set the exact date and time when your website will be available again to the public. This value will replace the placeholder {opening-date}.
4. Save changes to the page.
