Description: Displays real-time popups with recent activities performed by visitors on your website, leveraging social proof to increase trust and conversions.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
This tool is essential for creating a sense of activity and trust around your offer.
- Increase social proof: Shows that other users are purchasing your products or services, encouraging new visitors to do the same.
- Highlight interest in content: If a user has downloaded an important resource (e.g., a catalog or PDF), you can display this activity to demonstrate the value of your materials.
- Create (soft) urgency: Seeing recent purchases or interactions motivates the user not to postpone their decision.
Main Features
The "Live Visitor Events" module automatically manages and displays user interactions on your site.
- Display Recent Sales: Retrieves and shows details of completed orders (customer name, location, and purchased product).
- Display Tracked Activities: Allows turning specific user actions (such as sign-up, download, or viewing a key page) into public notifications.
- Content Customization: You can define the exact text that appears for each type of tracked event, using dynamic data (such as the downloaded file name or the value of a field).
- Frequency Control: You can set how often and how long popups are shown to visitors.
- Per Page Management: It is possible to enable or disable popup display on specific pages or landing pages.
How to configure
Configuration is divided into three main sections: General, Sales, and Tracking.
1. General Settings (Display)
These options control the appearance and frequency of popup display for all events.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Display interval | How often (in seconds) a new popup should appear. |
| Visibility duration | How long (in seconds) each individual popup remains on screen. |
| Popups per page | The maximum number of events shown to a single visitor on a given page. |
| Notification sound | Choose whether to play a short sound when a new popup appears. |
| Hide on mobile | Option to disable popup display on mobile devices (recommended to avoid interfering with navigation). |
2. Sales Settings
These options allow displaying recent purchases made by customers.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable sales display | Activates collection and display of orders. |
| Show recent orders from... | Specifies how many days back in time to look for orders to show. |
| Show only paid orders | Filters events to include only orders that are completed and paid. |
3. Tracking Settings (Custom Events)
This section lists all events previously tracked on your site (e.g., "Newsletter Signup," "Catalog Download").
For each tracked event, you can configure:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable event | Enables popup display for this specific type of activity. |
| Show recent events from... | Specifies how many days back in time to search for this type of event. |
| Event text | The text that will appear in the popup. You can use Shortcodes (shown next to the label) to insert dynamic data related to the action (e.g., {productname}, {resourcetitle}). |
Example event text: has downloaded the file {resource_name}
Automatic Integrations
The "Live Visitor Events" module natively integrates with the following areas of the system:
Control for Pages and Landing Pages
When editing a Page or Landing Page, you will find a dedicated section for "Live Visitor Events." Here you can decide whether to show or hide popups on that specific page, regardless of global settings.
Sales Data
The system automatically accesses data from the Billing & Sales module to retrieve completed orders and turn them into purchase notifications.
Tracking Data
The system connects with the Web Tracking module to identify and display specific actions you have configured for tracking (e.g., button clicks, form submissions).
Note: If no tracking events have been recorded yet on your site, the "Tracking" section may appear empty. You will need to first configure a Web Tracking project to start collecting data.
