Define the ID of the new shortcode (letters, numbers, and dashes only)

This guide shows you how to create a unique identifier (Shortcode ID) to save the data you retrieve from a Google Sheet, so you can use it in subsequent messages or content.

The Shortcode ID can contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).

Define the new Shortcode ID

1. Make sure you have selected the correct action: in the field labeled Action, select the option Get cell value.

2. Locate the configuration block where you defined the Row and Column from which to retrieve the data.

3. In the field labeled Shortcode, enter the identifier you want to assign to this variable.

  • Example: You can use product-price or client-name-gs.

4. The system will automatically add curly braces {} around the ID you entered.

5. Note: If you try to enter spaces, symbols, or invalid characters, they will be automatically removed to ensure that the shortcode works correctly.

Once the automation is saved, you can use this Shortcode (e.g., {product-price}) in any supported text or field.
