This guide shows you how to add and configure the first interactive button within your Facebook Messenger message.
Why do it
Adding a button allows users to perform a specific action directly from the message, such as visiting a link or sending a predefined response.
Procedure
1. Scroll down to the Include Button section (this is located below the main text area of the message).
2. In the Button Title field, enter the text that will appear on the button (for example: "Learn More" or "Talk to an Operator").
3. In the Button Action field, select the type of action the button should perform:
- Select Link if you want the user to be redirected to an external web address.
- Select Message if you want the user to send a predefined text (useful for triggering automatic replies or chatbot flows).
4. Depending on the chosen action, fill in the corresponding value field that appears:
- If you chose Link, fill in the Button Link field by entering the full destination URL (for example:
https://www.yoursite.com). - If you chose Message, fill in the Button Message field by entering the exact text that the user will automatically send by clicking the button.
> Note: If you want to add a second button, you can repeat the procedure in the section below, named button-2 in the source code.
