Automatic rules allow you to activate, deactivate, or modify the budget of your ads based on predefined criteria and set schedules, optimizing campaign management without manual intervention.
Procedure for Defining and Saving Rules
1. Access the ad management section by clicking on Meta Ads in the main menu.
2. Select the Ad Rules option.
3. Click the button to create a new rule (usually Add or New Rule).
4. Definition of Name and Objective:
- Assign a recognizable name to the rule.
- In the Target section, select the Advertising Account (BM), Campaign, Ad Set, and/or specific Ad to which the rule should be applied.
- Note: You can choose to apply the rule to all Ad Sets (
all) within a Campaign, or to all Ads (all) within an Ad Set.
5. Definition of Conditions:
- In the Conditions section, set the criteria that must be met for the rule to execute (for example, if cost per conversion exceeds a certain value).
6. Definition of Action:
- Choose which action should be performed when conditions are met. Available actions are:
- Activate: Sets the status of the ad/set/campaign to ACTIVE.
- Deactivate: Sets the status of the ad/set/campaign to PAUSED.
- Increase daily budget: Raises the daily budget by the specified amount.
- Decrease daily budget: Lowers the daily budget by the specified amount.
- Warning: If the campaign budget becomes too low, this action will be ignored.
- Set daily budget: Defines a new fixed daily budget.
- If the action requires a value (such as increase, decrease, or set budget), enter the desired amount.
7. Definition of Interval and Activation:
- In the Intervals section, define how often the system should check for rule execution (for example, every hour, every day at 9:00 AM, etc.).
- Ensure that the is_active option (or equivalent) is selected to activate the rule.
- If you want to receive a notification each time the rule runs, select the enable_notification option (or equivalent).
8. Click Save to make the automatic rule effective.
Saved rules will be synchronized and automatically executed by the system based on defined intervals.
