This guide explains how to define the specific record ID (for example, the ID of a product, customer, or sale) from which the Visual Builder block should retrieve the value of an additional field.
This setting is necessary so that the system knows exactly which database item to reference.
Procedure
To specify the record ID within an Additional Field block (such as "Text," "Image," "Number," or the generic "Additional Field"):
1. Open the block settings
In the Visual Builder, double-click on the Additional Field block (or on the related dynamic block, such as Image or Text) to open the settings window.
2. Select the Module and Field
In the Source Module and Field to display sections, ensure you have correctly selected the desired Module and Additional Field.
3. Access Conditions
Scroll through the settings window until you find the section titled:
Conditions
4. Specify the Record ID
Within this section, look for the field labeled:
Main Record ID
5. Enter the Value
Enter the numeric ID of the record from which you want to retrieve the field value.
Alternatively, this field supports using Shortcodes (dynamic codes) that will be automatically replaced with the correct ID at display time (for example, on a product page or in an email).
6. Save changes
Save the block settings and then save the entire Visual Builder layout.
