This guide explains how to specify which record (item, product, customer, etc.) should be used by the "Additional Field" block to retrieve the correct data within the Visual Builder.
This setting is available in all blocks related to Additional Fields (e.g., Text, Image, Number, etc.).
Procedure to Specify the Record ID
1. Open Block Settings: In the Visual Builder, double-click on the "Additional Field" block (or the specific block like "Image," "Text," etc.) to open the settings window.
2. Select Module and Field: Make sure you have correctly specified the Source Module and the Field to Display at the top of the window.
3. Access Conditions: Scroll down the window until you find the section titled Conditions.
4. Specify the ID: Within the Conditions section, locate the field labeled Main Record ID.
5. Enter the Value:
- Enter the exact numeric ID of the record from which you want to extract data (for example,
123). - Alternatively, if working on dynamic templates (such as emails or detail pages), you can enter a Shortcode that will be automatically replaced with the current record's ID. The field shows a hint: This field supports shortcodes.
6. Save: Save changes to the block and page to apply the setting.
> Note: If the Main Record ID field is already pre-filled with a Shortcode (e.g., {product-id} or {customer_id}), it means that the system has detected a dynamic ID available for that context. In this case, there is no need to modify it unless you want to force displaying a specific record.
