This guide explains how to define the data type that a custom field can contain (for example, text, number, image). This operation is performed during the creation or editing of a field in the additional fields management section.
Procedure for Selecting the Type
1. Locate the configuration row of the field you want to modify.
2. Within this row, look for the label Tipologia campo.
3. Click on the dropdown menu located under the label.
4. Select one of the following field types, depending on the kind of information you intend to collect:

| Numero | Accepts only numeric values. |
| Testo breve | Accepts a single line of text (e.g., a title). |
| Testo lungo | Accepts a longer block of text. |
| Testo lungo formattato | Accepts formatted text via editor (such as an HTML or TinyMCE editor). |
| Selezionabile | Allows selecting a single value from a predefined list. |
| Multi-selezionabile | Allows selecting multiple values from a predefined list. |
| Spunta | A "checkbox" type field (Yes/No or Enabled/Disabled). |
| Immagine singola | Allows uploading a single image. |
| Galleria | Allows uploading multiple images. |
| File | Allows uploading a generic file (documents, PDFs, etc.). |
| Video (YouTube / Vimeo) | Allows inserting a link to an external video (YouTube or Vimeo). |
| Data | Allows selecting a date. |
| Data e ora | Allows selecting a date and time. |
| Visual Builder | Allows using the visual editor to create complex content within the field. |
5. Once you have selected the desired type, additional configuration options (such as Accepted values or Translations) may appear or disappear automatically depending on your choice.
6. Save the changes to apply the new type to the field.
