Enter data (text, numbers, dates) into the custom fields of a record

This guide explains how to enter information (such as text, numbers, or dates) into custom fields that have been added to a record (e.g., a product, a customer, etc.).

Custom fields are grouped in a separate tab within the record's edit screen.


Step-by-Step Procedure

To enter data into a custom field, follow these steps:

1. Access the Custom Fields Section

1. Open the record you want to edit (e.g., a Product or a Customer).

2. Within the record's edit screen, look for and click on the tab titled Additional Fields or on the name of the custom tab defined by the administrator (the exact name is indicated above the tab).

2. Enter Data According to Field Type

Inside the tab, you will find the custom fields listed with their label (the Field Name that was defined). The method of entry depends on the type of field:
