This guide explains how to insert the address (URL) of a video hosted on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo into a custom field configured for this purpose.
The field accepts the full web address of the video.
Inserting a Video URL (YouTube / Vimeo) into the Field
Follow these steps to add the video URL to the desired field:
1. Find the Video URL
First, you need to copy the web address (URL) of the video you want to insert, directly from your browser's address bar or by using the "Share" function of the video platform (YouTube or Vimeo).
Example of accepted URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXX or https://vimeo.com/XXXXXXXXX
2. Access the Record Edit Page
Navigate within the module (e.g., Products, Clients, etc.) where the video field was created and open the specific record you want to edit.
3. Locate the Additional Fields Tab
Within the record edit page, look for the tab that contains your custom field. This tab might be called:
- Additional fields (if no custom name was specified);
- Or, the specific name assigned to the tab when creating the field.
4. Insert the URL into the Field
1. Locate the field labeled with the name you assigned to the Video (YouTube / Vimeo) type field.
2. Paste the full video URL (obtained in step 1) into the text field.
5. Save Changes
Make sure to save the record to apply the change. The system will automatically process the URL to display the video where necessary.
