This guide explains how to configure the appearance (design, size, behavior) of additional fields of type Image, Gallery, or File within the Visual Builder.
Target users: Non-technical users who use the Visual Builder for creating pages or emails.
Step-by-Step Procedure
To configure the appearance of the additional field in the Visual Builder, follow these steps:
1. Access the Visual Builder and drag the Additional Field block into your workspace.
2. Click on the Additional Field block to open the settings panel.
3. In the Origin section, configure the following parameters:
- In Source Form, select the form where you created the additional field (e.g., Products, Customers, etc.).
- In Field to display, select the additional field you want to show (e.g.,
Single Image,Gallery, orFile).
4. In the Conditions section, enter the ID of the main record (for example, Product or Customer ID) from which to retrieve the field value.
5. Scroll through the configuration panel until you find appearance options specific to the selected field type (these options appear automatically after selecting the field in step 3):
A. Configuration for "Single Image" Field
If you selected a Single Image type field, you will see the following configuration options:
- Image: Use these settings to define the visual appearance of the image:
- Dimensions (width, height).
- Margins and borders.
- Image quality (if available).
- Onclick action: Define what happens when the user clicks on the image (for example, open full-screen image or redirect to an external link).
B. Configuration for "Gallery" Field
If you selected a Gallery type field, you will see the following configuration options:
- Carousel: Use these settings to define how the gallery is displayed:
- Display mode (slider, grid, etc.).
- Navigation settings (arrows, dots).
- Autoplay options.
- Image: Define display settings for individual images within the gallery (for example, how they are cropped or their quality).
C. Configuration for "File" Field (Download)
If you selected a File type field (Download), you will see the following configuration options:
- Button: Use these settings to define the appearance of the button that users will click to download the file:
- Button text (the file will be automatically linked to this button).
- Button design (color, size, borders, etc.).
6. Once changes are complete, save the block settings and save your page or email.
