This guide shows you how to define what happens when a user clicks on the image you inserted via an Additional Field within the Visual Builder.
This configuration is only available for additional fields of type Single Image.
Configure the Click Action on an Image Field
Make sure you have already inserted the "Image" block in the Visual Builder and linked it to an Additional Field of type "Single Image."
Configuration Steps
1. Open Block Settings
In the Visual Builder, click on the settings icon (usually a gear) of the Image block you want to modify. The configuration window (popup) will open.
2. Verify the Field Source
At the top of the window, make sure that:
- Source Module: The module from which the field originates (e.g., Products, Clients).
- Field to Display: The name of your additional field of type "Single Image."
3. Access Action Settings
Scroll through the block settings and look for the section dedicated to click action. This section is often called Click Action or is located inside an expandable panel (accordion).
4. Choose the Type of Action
Inside the "Click Action" section, select the desired event:
- No Action: The image will not be clickable.
- Open Link: The image will act as a hyperlink.
- Enter the destination URL.
- Define the Target (e.g.,
_blankto open in a new tab). - Open Lightbox: The image will open in a fullscreen modal window.
5. Save Changes
Once you have configured the action, click on the Save (or Apply) button in the block configuration window to apply the changes.
