Why do it: Platforms like Google Shopping, Facebook, and TikTok require that product variants (e.g., a t-shirt available in red and blue) be properly grouped using the standard attributes Color and Size. This setup ensures that the feed is accepted and products are displayed correctly.
Procedure
1. Log in to your site's admin area and go to the Catalog Synchronizer plugin settings.
2. Locate the section dedicated to Variant Attribute Mapping (or a similar section managing Color and Size options).
3. In the field labeled Attribute used as Color (g:color):
- Select from the dropdown the variant attribute you use in your catalog to define the product's color (for example, "Colore", "Tonalità", "Variazione C").
- Note: If your product has no color variants, leave this field empty.
4. In the field labeled Attribute used as Size (g:size):
- Select from the dropdown the variant attribute you use in your catalog to define the product's size (for example, "Taglia", "Misura", "Dimensione").
- Note: If your product has no size variants, leave this field empty.
5. After selecting the desired attributes, click the Save (or Apply changes) button to store the configuration.
The feed will be regenerated using the selected attribute values to populate the color and size fields required by external platforms.
