Time slots allow you to present customers with an estimated time range for delivery or pickup, instead of requiring the selection of a precise time.
Procedure
1. Access the Delivery plugin settings and select the Hours section.
2. Locate the section dedicated to order configuration. This section can be either unique (global) or divided by delivery mode.
3. If you have checked the box Use separate settings for Delivery and Takeaway, select the mode for which you want to enable time slots (for example, the Takeaway area or the Delivery area).
4. Within the chosen configuration section (Global, Takeaway, or Delivery), look for the option:
- Use 'Time Slots' instead of precise time
5. Check the box next to Enable 'Time Slots' option.
6. Once enabled, a section will appear to define the duration. In the field under the label Time slot duration, enter the desired number of minutes for each slot (for example, 30).
- Note: The default unit of measurement is Minutes.
7. Click on the save button (usually located at the bottom of the page) to apply the changes.
Once saved, your customers will see time options presented as intervals (e.g., From 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM) instead of exact times.
