This guide shows you how to activate the "Take Away" option to allow your customers to pick up orders directly at one of your locations.
1. Enabling the Take Away Method
First, you need to enable the Take Away delivery option and specify the pickup locations.
1. Access the control panel of the Delivery plugin.
2. Click on the Shipping tab.
3. In the section titled Take Away, check the box next to:
- Enable Take Away delivery method
4. In the field under the label Enable take away for the following locations, select the company locations where customers can pick up their orders.
5. Save the changes made.
2. Scheduling and Lead Time Configuration
It is essential to define the hours when Take Away is available and how much lead time you require for order preparation.
1. Click on the Hours tab.
2. In the first section, ensure that the option Enable availability for Delivery and Take Away is checked.
Defining Specific Hours
If you want the hours and preparation times for Take Away to be different from those of Home Delivery (Delivery):
1. Check the option Use separate settings for Delivery and Take Away.
2. Scroll down to the section dedicated to Take Away.
3. Configure preparation times and intervals for Take Away:
- Minimum lead time: Enter the minimum number of minutes required before an order can be picked up (e.g., 15).
- Maximum lead time: Enter the maximum number of days in advance a customer can book (e.g., 2).
- Minimum interval between pickup times: Define the time interval (in minutes) between available pickup slots (e.g., 15).
- Max orders at same time: (Optional) Limit the number of orders that can be picked up simultaneously within a given slot.
- 'As soon as possible' option: Check this option to allow customers to choose "As soon as possible".
- Use 'Time Slots' instead of exact time: If checked, define the Time Slot Duration (in minutes).
4. Save the changes made.
