This guide explains how to set the minimum (advance) and maximum time within which a customer can place an order for delivery or takeaway.
Procedure
1. Log in to the admin panel and go to the Delivery plugin settings.
2. Click on the Hours tab.
3. Locate the Anticipation section.
Choosing Settings (Global or Separate)
First, you need to decide whether to use the same settings for Takeaway and Delivery, or differentiate them:
- Check the box Use separate settings for Delivery and Takeaway if you want to configure different times for Takeaway and Delivery.
- Leave the box unchecked if you want the settings to apply to both methods.
1. Global Configuration (If the box is unchecked)
If you have not selected the option for separate settings, you will see the configuration fields directly:
1. In the Minimum advance field, enter the number of minutes that must pass between placing the order and the earliest available pickup or delivery date/time.
- Example: Entering
15means the order cannot be picked up before 15 minutes. The unit is Minutes.
2. In the Maximum advance field, enter the number of days in advance a customer can book an order.
- Example: Entering
2allows customers to book up to two days ahead. The unit is Days.
2. Separate Configuration (If the box is checked)
If you have selected Use separate settings for Delivery and Takeaway, two distinct sections will appear:
A. Takeaway Section
1. In the Takeaway section, locate the Minimum advance field and enter the value in Minutes.
2. Locate the Maximum advance field and enter the value in Days.
B. Delivery Section
1. In the Delivery section, locate the Minimum advance field and enter the value in Minutes.
2. Locate the Maximum advance field and enter the value in Days.
At the end of configuration, make sure to save your changes.
