Define the maximum distance covered by a shipping rate
To ensure that shipping costs are calculated correctly based on the distance from your location, you need to specify the maximum coverage radius for each rate.
Procedure
1. Access the Delivery plugin administration section.
2. Click on the Shipments tab.
3. In the Shipments section, scroll down to the rates container (where you see the fields Shipping Location, Maximum Distance, etc.).
4. If you need to create a new rate, click the Add New Rate button.
5. For the rate you want to configure:
a. In the Shipping Location field, select the location from which the shipment will be made.
b. In the Maximum Distance field, enter a numeric value. This represents the maximum radius (in Km) within which this rate will apply.
c. In the Select Shipping Method field, associate the shipping method (configured separately) with this distance.
6. Repeat these steps for all necessary rates (for example, you might have a rate for 5 Km and a different rate for 10 Km).
7. Save the changes. (The system will use the rate with the maximum distance closest to the customer's address).
