Request the insertion of additional data for a document (Configuration)

This guide explains how to configure a document so that, at the time of upload by the user, additional data fields are requested (for example, a tax code or an expiration date).

Procedure

1. Access the configuration section of the "Customer Documents" plugin (usually under Settings > Customer Documents).

2. Select the General tab.

3. Locate the document you want to modify or add a new document.

4. Within the document options, check the box Request Data Input.

5. Once the box is checked, a field titled Which data do you want to request? will appear.

6. In this field, enter the exact names of the fields you want the user to fill out. Each name must be separated by a comma (for example: Codice Fiscale, Data di Scadenza, Numero Patente).

7. Save the plugin settings.

Once the configuration is saved, when the user uploads that document in their reserved area, they will see text fields corresponding to the names you defined.
