This guide shows you how to set up automatic assignment rules based on complex criteria, using the condition builder tool.
Defining Complex Conditions for Automatic Assignment Filtering
Why do it:
This feature allows you to automatically assign customers to specific users or roles only if they meet a predefined set of conditions (for example, if they come from a certain source or have a specific value in a custom field).
Procedure
1. Select the Automatic Assignment tab in the plugin settings.
2. Click the Add Criterion button to create a new group of assignment rules.
3. In the Assignment Criterion field, select the option: Based on conditions.
4. The Select Conditions field will appear. Interact with the text area (which will transform into a Query Builder) to build your complex rules:
- Define the fields, operators, and values that the customer must satisfy to trigger the assignment.
5. Define who to assign customers that meet the conditions to:
- In the Which users do you want to assign these leads to? field, select one or more specific users.
- In the Which roles do you want to assign these leads to? field, select one or more user roles.
- Note: Customers will be assigned to all users included in your selections (both users and roles).
6. (Optional) In the User Rotation field, check the box Assign in rotation if you want assignments to occur sequentially among selected users instead of assigning the contact to all simultaneously.
7. Click Save Changes (or the equivalent save button on your platform) to apply the rules.
