This guide explains how to configure a discount rule that offers gift products, basing the gift on the quantity of items purchased or the quantity available in stock.
Procedure
1. Select the Discount Type
After creating or editing a discount rule, go to the Discount Type field and select one of the following options, depending on the condition you want to use:
- Articolo in regalo: If you want to base the gift on the quantity of products purchased by the customer (
3x2.php). - Sconto basato sulla quantità in magazzino: If you want to base the gift on the quantity of products currently available in stock (
warehouse.php).
2. Configure General Details
- Enter a descriptive name in the Title field.
- (Optional) Use the Limit application and Exclude from application fields to specify items or categories to which this rule applies or does not apply.
3. Define Gift Tiers
Scroll down to the Preferences section to define quantity tiers.
- (Only for "Articolo in regalo") If you want the summary table of tiers to be visible on the product page, make sure the Show discount table checkbox is checked.
4. Set Up the First Tier
- In the From field, enter the minimum quantity of products that the customer must purchase (or minimum quantity in stock) to activate the gift.
- In the To field, enter the maximum quantity.
- In the Gift Products field, enter the number of items that will be offered for free.
- Next to the Gift Products field, select the logic for applying the gift:
- meno cari: The least expensive items will be gifted.
- più cari: The most expensive items will be gifted.
5. Add Additional Tiers
- Click on the Add tier button to create a new configuration row.
- Repeat step 4 to define the new quantity range and related number of Gift Products.
6. Save the Rule
- Once you have completed configuring the tiers, make sure to save the discount rule.
