Choose the discount unit of measurement per tier (percentage, fixed amount, or 'cheaper'/'more expensive' gift criteria).

To define the discount unit of measure (percentage, fixed amount, or gift criterion), you must first select the desired discount type, as the available options change depending on the chosen type.

Procedure

1. Open the discount configuration you want to modify or create a new one.

2. In the Discount Type field, select the rule type you want to apply (e.g., Quantity-based Discount, Gift Item, etc.).

3. Scroll down to the Preferences section that appears below the Discount Type selection.

A. Discounts Based on Percentage (%) or Fixed Amount (€)

This option is available for discount types that apply a direct price reduction, such as: Massive Discount, Newsletter Subscription Discount, and Quantity-based Discount.

1. If you have chosen a quantity-based discount type, click Add tier to define a new range.

2. In the Apply a discount of field, enter the numerical value of the discount.

3. Next to the value field, use the dropdown menu to select the unit of measure:

  • Select % to apply the discount as a percentage off the product price.
  • Select to apply a fixed amount discount.

B. Discounts Based on Gift Criterion (Cheapest / Most Expensive)

This option is available for discount types that provide a gift item based on purchased quantity, such as: Gift Item or Stock Quantity-based Discount.

1. If you have chosen a discount type that uses tiers, click Add tier to define a new range.

2. In the Gift products field, enter the number of products that will be gifted for that tier.

3. Next to the value field, use the dropdown menu to select the criterion by which the product to be discounted (gifted) will be chosen:

  • Select cheapest to discount (gift) products with the lowest price among eligible ones.
  • Select most expensive to discount (gift) products with the highest price among eligible ones.
