Create, modify, or delete a conditional discount rule (both at a global level and for individual customers).

This guide describes how to create, modify, or delete discount rules applicable globally (for all users) or specifically for a single customer.


1. Management of Global Discounts

Global discount rules apply to all site visitors or customers not specifically excluded.

Procedure

1. Log in to the administration panel.

2. Go to the Settings (or Configuration) section.

3. Search for and click on the Discounts tab (or the tab related to the "Conditional Discount" plugin).

4. Use the management area to create or modify rules (see Section 3).

5. When finished, click Save (or Save changes).


2. Management of Discounts for Single Customer

Customer-specific discount rules apply only to that particular account.

Procedure

1. Log in to the administration panel.

2. Go to the customer management section (e.g., Customers or Records).

3. Search for and select the desired customer.

4. Within the customer's tab, click on the Customer discounts tab (icon <i class="fas fa-percentage"></i>).

5. Use the management area to create or modify rules specific to that customer (see Section 3).

6. When finished, click Save (or Save changes).


3. Creating, Modifying, and Deleting a Discount Rule

Whether you are working on global settings or a single customer's tab, rule management is done through a row-based interface (MultiRowBuilder).

3.1 Create or Modify a Rule

1. Click the button to Add a new discount. A new configuration row will open.

2. Title: Assign a descriptive name to the discount rule.

3. Discount type: Select the type of discount you want to apply. Available options are:

  • Mass discount
  • Discount based on quantity purchased
  • Discount based on stock quantity
  • Discount based on newsletter subscription
  • Gift item

4. Limit application: Click in the field and search for items or categories this rule MUST be applied to.

5. Exclude from application: Click in the field and search for items or categories this rule MUST NOT be applied to.

6. Message above 'Add to cart': Enter text that will appear on the product page above the "Add to cart" button to inform users about the promotion.

7. Preferences: Based on the Discount type selected at point 3, a specific "Preferences" section will appear. Configure details as follows:

A. Mass Discount

  • Apply a discount of: Enter the numerical value of the discount and select the unit (% or ).

B. Discount Based on Quantity Purchased

  • Show discount table: Check this box if you want to show a summary table of discount tiers on the product page.
  • Tier Management:
  • Use Add tier to define a new range.
  • For each tier, define:
  • From: Minimum quantity.
  • To: Maximum quantity.
  • Apply a discount of: Enter value and select unit (% or ).

C. Discount Based on Stock Quantity

This rule is based on the amount of product available in stock.

  • Tier Management:
  • Use Add tier to define a new range.
  • For each tier, define:
  • From: Minimum stock quantity.
  • To: Maximum stock quantity.
  • Gift products: Enter number of products that will be gifted and specify whether they should be the least expensive or most expensive among those purchased.

D. Discount Based on Newsletter Subscription

  • Limit to following lists: Select marketing lists (newsletters) that user must be subscribed to benefit from this discount.
  • Apply a discount of: Enter numerical value of discount and select unit (% or ).

E. Gift Item (3x2)

  • Show discount table: Check this box if you want to show a summary table of gifts on the product page.
  • Tier Management:
  • Use Add tier to define a new range.
  • For each tier, define:
  • From: Minimum quantity purchased.
  • To: Maximum quantity purchased.
  • Gift products: Enter number of products that will be gifted and specify whether they should be the least expensive or most expensive among those purchased.

3.2 Delete a Rule

To delete an existing discount rule, click on the Delete discount button (usually an icon shaped like a trash bin or an "X") associated with that rule's row.

3.3 Saving

After completing your changes, click on the Save or Save changes button at the bottom of the page to make rules effective.
